Reason,

The house across the street was bought by one of our neighbors. I talked to him today and I think you would love this quote.

"I bought the damn thing so it wouldn't go section eight. Got a great deal, you will see it on the market next year priced so we will be happy with whoever buys it."

I actually drove by early Saturday afternoon and talked to the guy. The asking price was $72,500, so if the inside is as in good condition as the outside he got a steal.

I guess my hip hop rave house dream will have to wait for another day.

Apparently it was sold before it ever was on the market. I just happened to see it online and thought I'd take a look.

I've got rentals on either side of me for sale, and it's making me nervous. One needs significant work and they are asking over $120,000 for it. I may inquire about the other one before they put it on the market.

    Another bit of neighborhood news.

The sweetest dog was at my door Saturday afternoon, sopping wet from the afternoon rain. She was accompanied by another dog who later disappeared. They apparently spent the afternoon going door to door "asking" to be let in peoples' homes.

After the second one disappeared, I tethered the remaining to a corkscrew, fed it some water and food and let it reside on my front porch for the day.

Anyone missing a large husky type dog?

I'm feeling so guilty about calling the SPCA, but I just didn't have a place to keep it.

I'm thinking about sending Stephanie a Christmas card this month.

I tried to get a reaction from the guy who bought the vacant house when I told him (more than once) that I knew the both of you.

He almost acted afraid to respond.

That's only because his wide-tracker wife doesn't like me on so many levels.

I think I may have made a mistake when I referred to our next door neighbor as a white trash ho, considering the number of men she had in and out of there.

And I won't revisit her taking Trav to court...
